Colony collapse disorder


In general, the bee colony health has declined since 1980, with the introduction of new pathogens and parasites. Distribution in the United States of varroa and tracheal mites, in particular, important new strains of bees. Meanwhile, the continued demand for hives to supply pollination services to increase. Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) is a phenomenon that will disappear in which a hive or European honey bee colony abruptly.
